Athletic sprinting, outside of track and field is in an unique era of opportunity and I believe it should and needs to be taken advantage of in an unified way. This is why I've created Sprint Battle as an Entertainment first athletic sprint format second! The sprint sports format is key to athletes competitiveness however, the entertainment factor of capturing the audience attention surrounding the sprinters is just as key.
So, where do we start. I could start with my story but, I'm not here because of me and my story. It was my sister's 30 yr plus athletic sprint journey in track and field that captured me to try and pull off something that has not been offered in sprinting to date. There will be at some point more content about me but, for now lets see if we can get sprinters together that want more offered (competitions, sponsors, revenue, exposure and most of all status) in athletic sprinting and communicating with each other as one body with purpose.
The power of organized professional sports leagues is, they can compete internally as teams and athletes with each other and still present a valued added service to the public without compromising revenue. Sprint Battle has taken the time out to understand all that as a platform goal to present its focus driven sprint format. So, now we are at a place to have conversations as athletic sprinters on "what is possible, what can I bring to the table and what is in there for me".
As a sprinter and I'm not talking about the 1% of elites, that the track and field format and industry caters too. I'm talking about the 99% of those that have sprint talent, trained as a sprinter, received scholarship and now just wants to maintain an organic living in sprints. The majority of the sprint talent in market is not producing anything of real economic value that they would say is of relevant to the talent and knowledge they have... Sprinters, know they should be more opportunities for them in sprinting than what the market is offering.
I want to hear from sprinters as many as I can from amateur to professional and everything in between. As I keep introducing layers in the development of Sprint Battle as a new start-up sprint league for sprinters!
